"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever...
It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything."
Do you remember sitting around with family and going through old family photos? There is something so calming and magical about reliving memories. I used to sit around with my Grandmother and go through family albums and listen to her stories for hours. I now have those memories to pass on to my own children.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved photography. I have boxes full of memories from my film cameras. I loved taking the roll of film to be developed and then the anticipation and excitement to go pick it up and look at the pictures. I always got doubles so I could share them. I got my first digital camera when I got married. Digital photography is both a blessing and a curse. I was able to take SO many pictures on our honeymoon, of our first born son and pretty much every moment we have shared. I went through a time where I had these perfectly organized folders on my computer (still do) but NOTHING printed. Where are the albums for my kids to flip through? Where are the memories that they will get to pass down and share with their children? When I started my photography business I decided I wanted to help my clients get the most out of their prints. Despite our best intentions, we rarely print our digital memories. I am proud to offer not only digitals but also professional prints and family heirlooms.
I LOVE my job. Every session is unique and tells it's own story. Getting to know the families and be a part of their story is such a blessing. Seeing their images printed on a gorgeous canvas, or delivering them a keepsake album makes my heart happy every single time. Each time I feel connected as I relive my own childhood memories of flipping through albums with my Grandmother. I know that each family will have these memories to cherish for years to come and knowing I was a part of that is an amazing feeling.
Nothing is more beautiful than those old printed photos.
With my clients, I am on a mission to restore those old snapshots. Those old printed photos that get passed down from generation to generation. I believe that photography is so much more than just pushing a button on my camera. It is an expression of art and your photos should be printed as such.
Let’s capture those memories! Those bonds! And those sweet baby toes ;).Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! I would love to get to know you and your family and create those lasting heirloom photos and albums that can be passed down from generation to generation!
